Hi everybody,
weather dull outside so messing about indoors. Iv'e been trying my best to get rid of shadows whilst taking photo of a glass with limited equipment ie; I haven't got a flash gun, Iv'e just been improvising with table lamps and a made up ring light Iv'e tried to make and some white card with very little success, I'll keep trying but anybody got any suggestions. Camera's a canon 1000d.
I enjoy all the other threads, most interesting and helpful

Try to create a ring of white paper that surrounds the glass and then shoot through a hole in the paper. Stick a lamp over the top or try lightpainitng (pre-focus in MF and us a long exposure). Should be easier to clone that one small reflection of the lens out, than everything in the room.

The book "Light: science & magic" deals with shooting reflective surfaces etc - but a google search should provide some info :)

EDIT: these links may help a bit:
