No
Has anybody any experience of how long this process takes from sending the initial details to Nikon?
I filled all the necessary blurb in the online form over a week ago but not even had a confirmation email.

I'm waiting to sell it once this is done. Camera is still under warranty so hoping not to waste too much time in getting it resolved so as to preserve as much warranty for new owner.

I've not seen any issue with it. Initially it was reported as not affected but now it appears it is...

My D500 has been at Kingston for 40 days, showing status as 'Being Repaired' for the last week ... hope your D750 gets sorted in a more reasonable time.

That's not an encouraging sign! Hope yours finds it's way back to you soon.

My experience might be different as I'm a member of NPS, but I contacted customer services immediately after filling in the form giving them my membership number, as I was told NPS should give you faster repair times. Very soon after that I received the shipping label and once sent it took 8 days to get it back. My camera had the shutter unit, grip unit and sensor unit replaced and came back looking like new. A friend of mine is also an NPS member and a D750 shooter and had a similar experience after calling customer services and providing their membership number. If you have that membership it's definitely worth letting them know as they seem to prioritise repairs.

I seem to remember the process was a lot quicker than my husband expected, about 3 weeks or so I think. If I were you, I would resend the online form, as that process was very quick as I remember. Perhaps yours got lost in the ether!!

whats wrong with your d500 ?
or have you worn out the shutter already :LOL:

Turnaround was under a week for me. I contacted Nikon prior to sending it in and said I needed it back quickly. I'm also have Nikon membership, not NPS but the other one (can't remember what it is off the top of my head ) but doubt that made a different tbh.

EDIT: NPU ;)

Just spoke to customer services and they advised that it hadn't been too long yet. They have a lot of bodies in for repair currently, she also said that when they send the labels they are ready to turn your camera around in 10 days upon receipt. I guess they're managing the number of camera bodies in for repair by controlling the release of pre-paid labels. Not sure what NPS is but I don't belong to it!

Poor battery consumption holty, would be nice to have it to wear out the shutter!

Mine has been returned to me today, although I’m away for work so haven’t seen it yet...

Mine took around a month from submission, to getting my shipping label. I sent it to them a week later, and it has taken a couple of weeks to be returned to me.

Mine has had a new shutter plate, rear rubber, and rubber grip replaced. Also, they performed a full service including a ‘thorough sensor clean’.
