Hi

A friend is getting engaged at the weekend and has asked me to take some photo's. It is going to be a small event but may have to take some group/family shots.

I was thinking of taking my lights stands, shoot through umbrella's and two flashes as a setup, would this work or should I take the reflective umbrella's.

Or should I just use bounce flash on camera.

Thank you

It really depends on what sort of shots your freind wants - as a wedding photographer if i'm doing an engagement shoot i usually use natural light, or a single on camera flash gun with a bounce card

Pete,

Thank you, I will be taking the photos of the ceremony and then may be family group shots. The engagement is in a small hall with low white ceilings so I think I can get away with on camera bounce flash for most of it, but not 100% on the group ones. May be I will take it all with me and see how it pans out on the day.

Kev
