I must admit I'm not the best at post-proceesing, infact I prefer to keep it to a minimum wherever possible.

One thing that does prove a bit troublesome is getting the white balance right in ACR after taking the shot in RAW format, much of the time the camera does a decent job and I leave it set as "as shot" but in tricky lighting it does need tweaking in ACR...I'm interested to know how others approach this, do you use the "white balance tool" or just adjust the slider by eye (quite difficult I think)

thanks

Simon

In Lightroom (which I believe is the same engine) I use the eyedropper tool to click on a white area, if that doesn't give a good result I tweak the sliders by eye.

If I'm in a rush I find one pic from the shoot with the correct WB and sync that to all the others, with minor tweaks to the sliders as needed.

thanks, that's pretty much what I do, wondered if there was any alternative way ?

Pre using raw I used to use the eyedropper tools in CS3 "levels" which seemed more positive..white point/black point and mid-tone, the single white balance tool in ACR seems a little to simple to me ?
