As per title.

I want to set up a personal blog, and basically although I'm computer literate I'm not an expert, so am looking for a complete package.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I've just done exactly that for Chaz Photo ie setting up web page, wordpress etc...

I will help you set it all up if you want, you've helped me in the past :)

Have you found a web name you like yet?

Many thanks Darren, I'll take you up on that.

No, not sure about the name yet

Wordpress Garry.... (I'll let Darren sort you though even though you've helped me lots in the past too :D)

Yep, wordpress. You can either host it on your own hosting package, where you have greater freedom to choose your theme, add your own plug ins and basically make it your own, or you can host it at wordpress.com but with limited modification options.

If you go to NAMECHEAP.COM and start looking for a web site name then buy it I can then host it for you and set up word press then go from there. (you can use someone else but if you use NAMECHEAP I can tell you how to set it to point to the new site in a simple step by step process). Should cost you about $6-7 per year then :D ie you only need to pay for the actual name.

Garry, if you find the name today and pay for it I can sort out the DNS settings changes tonight and you can be up and running tomorrow :D I'm off to work now but will check my emails etc whilst having my tea break later.....

GarryEdwards.com has gone but there are plenty of appropriate ones left.

.info and .biz are available at under $4 a year so pay for 2 years and it'll cost you about £5, add whois-guard on at a similar price and we are off...... £5 per year....
