Hello,
The flash i'm using works with my camera in that it fires as normal. However, when i try to alter the firing setting so that the flash triggers at the end of the exposure, a message comes up saying the flash is incompatible.
Is this a fixable problem that can be overridden somehow?
If not could anyone give advice on how to find flashes that would allow rear curtain to be selected?

Hi and welcome to TP

There are many Canon users, including those with Spreadlite/flash usage.......though not myself.

Having said that can I suggest you post with the make & model number of the flash you are using/talking about in your opening post.

Hi and welcome to TP.
As above can you tell us what flash you’re using.

I’m also interested in exactly what you’re trying to achieve (many people are misinformed about rear curtain sync).

The other thing I’ll suggest is to use Yongnuo or Godox radio triggers, they’ll allow rear curtain sync for OCF where the Canon alternatives fail.

Hi and welcome. My memory may be failing me but I recall problems with rear curtain sync with my 5DM3 and Yongnuo 560. It worked fine with canon or godox flashes.
