Hey all!

I've been search google now for... oooh.... about an hour and cant find any info on this and was hoping someone would be able to help me (im asuming that this is the right place to put this).

I have a Nikon D40 and was wondering how to take sequence shots. I know the camera can take 2.5 pictures a second but cant for the life of me figure out how to get the thing to take 2.5 pics a second! quite frustrating as it cant be that complicated!

I've tried the shutter speed, ive tried holding down the capture button, everything my little brain can think of!

Im new to this so would be handy to know.

Thanks in advance people!

On my D50 there is a button to the left of the eye piece that has a rectangle with 3 others placed behind it. You can only see the bottom and right hand lines of the other rectangles and they go down and to the right. (best way I can explain it without finding a picture).

All I have to do is hold it down and move the wheel so that the shoot mode goes from S to the same icon that's on the button. (should change it to burst mode).

The you hold down the shutter release and it keeps going!

I'm not familiar with the D40 but this option might be in the menu somewhere if the button isn't on the body itself.

hey, thanks for the responce.

I cant see anything like you've described on the d40. I think i know what your describing but cant see anything like it. The manual doesnt say anything either.

its ok now! i was looking for sequence but just checked under "burst" and found out how! just had to change the shooting mode!
