I posted a pic on here last week and I was told to clean my sensor as there were a couple of dust bunnies present, I did use my blower when we got home and that seems to have done the trick but also I have just bought an Arctic butterfly, now I know the bristles will hold a small amount of static, but is it dangerous to the sensor?

Would anyone recommend the slightly sticky pads for cleaning, its an old camera (D2X) but its only done 7700 actuations and is in as new condition so I really want to look after it.

Not used the Arctic butterfly but on my d80 for a sensor clean just bought some sensor swabs and that did the trick.

The lens pen made it worse for me but has worked for a lot of people.

I use Eyelead!

No, if used correctly (virtually no pressure needed) it can do a great job, quickly & easily. (y)

No, not at all. The whole point of the Arctic Butterfly is that it holds a static charge to attract dust particles off the sensor. So it would be incredibly stupid design if the static harmed the sensor, and nobody would recommend them.
