Hi all,
I've got some dust stuck on my sensor and can't shake it off. Where in the Derby area can I take my camera to, to have it professionally cleaned?

Cheers,
Jonathan

Don't know but there will be stand at the photo show that does this and no, I don't work for them!

Have you tried wet cleaning with visible dust swabs? Had the same prob with the D610 bought the visible dust cleanier from Amazon around £20 and that sorted it.

It's very easy to do yourself and the kits are cheap. If you don't learn to do it you will continually be spending out on professional cleans. I use Eclipse fluid with sensor swabs.

:agree: Too true..............

Visible Dust kits are good if you are confident and used to doing such work, but sensors are expensive. Visible Dust kit is not cheap if you do it properly and I would not recommend some of the other offerings out there.

Brushes, swabs, fluid, magnifier/loupe etc the latter being pretty well essential for this sort of work.

Need to be very careful of not transferring more dust/oil etc onto there sensor.

I certainly would suggest LCE is worth a try, they usually only need doing once every 6-12 months anyway.

But before you do that, do check carefully the marks are not on just your mirror/lens/rear lens element rather than the sensor.

As its a few years old and done some travelling I was thinking of a good professional clean and then stay on-top of it myself. I'll give LCE a shout.

Thanks all
