I use G-mail. However when I import with AcDSee and process with photoshop then open G-mail to send, G-mail freezes on opening file. The only way to send is to close down the laptop, restart, open G-mail then they whizz away. Any idea why they dont go with the other programs open? It would help to get them away quickly and save my temper!

Seems strange. You could try putting them in a zip folder and trying to upload/send. Also it might be worth trying to find out which programme is causing the problems, as you could go into the control panel and close it saving the restart. ;)

Maybe because Gmail is trying to open the file which is already opened by another application. Does it work if you close photoshop first?

Are you sending on spec or with commissions? If it's the latter then it would be easier to FTP them across. If it's the former then it's always going to be a ballache... If you're using photo mechanic then you can email pictures directly from PM. That might work better.

Give your clients a ring and ask if there's an easier way to do this.

I would recommend using Photomechanic, it speeds up workflow and makes life much easier, it also has an FTP client built in.

agree with james if on a commission FTP if not just email them in, have used that system for years and works ok for me.

Cheers guys, the local paper wants e-mail only. They are always pre ordered pics and ACDSee has e-mail in it, I will give that a go tonight. I wondered if it was the strength of the signal. 3G where I send from is not very strong.
