Sending pics on spec

Just a quick question. When sending pictures on spec to the nationals, do you send using newslink or get email address to send to, or ftp ?
 
It depends who i'm shooting for mainly emailing the picture desks in a group email, some FTP to the agency website then auto distribute
 
It's a subscription wire service for image and script submission, and not a cheap one either!

It's been well over a year now since i've spoken to anyone at the nationals but the ones i did speak to said they were receiving my pictures and they were happy for me to keep sending them in, but sending with newslink is just too expensive and after weeks of sending in and not having any used knocked my confidence right back. If i'm honest i've always lacked confidence in myself, (not good for a photographer eh ! ). But having email address now i shall start sending work in as it won't cost me anything.

PS. message to myself "Why did I not just ask for email address when i first spoke with picture editors"
answer to myself " Probably because i didn't want to get on their nerves ( thats the confidence bit again!)
