Anyone got any experience of one?

I've just won a new one for 9.40 inc. carriage on e-blag. I only chucked a bid on thinking that I wouldn't get it.

Might come in handy for some small scale event printing I suppose.

I have a 510, it's great for what it was designed for.

Relatively quick (1 minute per 6x4)

Durable prints

Portable - you can take it on holiday and send postcards home.

I don't do events but we have used ours in an 'events' capacity for a charity golf tournament.

I also know of a wedding tog that uses one to produce a 'honeymoon album' a wedding album printed on the day for the couple to take on honeymoon.

Cheers Phil.

My thoughts are to use it with the laptop to churn out some 6x4s for a smallish fee at an event with the hope that people like them and order some larger sizes.

I have the Cp200 which is quite old but produce a good picture at not too high a cost and we often put them in frames

I too have the CP510 - the only downside is the cost of the cartridge/paper packs, but a cracking little printer. I paid £25 for mine new, and have saved much more than that in printing photos for the kids to take into school the next day.

It would do an event, but not too quickly. the other thing that is not ideal is getting the aspect correct for printing - anything off 6x4 and it is inflexible, you also need to make sure you have a slightly larger photo as it crops a little off the edges before printing.
