Now I don't wish to start a hang 'em thread ( drawn & quartered will suffice :D)
I missed the location, but on the lunchtime radio news traffic wardens were handing out parking tickets out side a church on Sunday. When questioned by a veteran they said "oh we didn't know it was remembrance Sunday"
Are they thick? ( Rhetorical question BTW)
The councils "excuse" was that the parking spaces are for residence only and that parking at anytime of the year causes them ( the residence) problems.
Anyone know of traffic wardens working on a Sunday? certainly not around here, It Looks to me to have been a deliberate "targeting act"
I could of course always be wrong, maybe they do work In that area on a Sunday and maybe they were the only few people in the country to not have known the significance of that "date" (11 / 11)

this is similar to when i helped my sister move house, there was a wedding going on at the church on the same street and people had parked all over the place (quite simply because there is absolutely nowhere to park anywhere near the church) people had parked in the residents only parking by the church (that the residents dont use because parking up their isnt lit at night and people get windows smashed) i was moving stuff into the car when a warden came round the corner, saw the amount of cars and the wedding car and called his traffic nazi friend) i made out what he said on the phone "please can i have some help so we can ticket them all before the service finishes"

i ****ing hate traffic wardens, it shouldnt be a crime to beat them to death with a rusty spoon, these people are lowest of the low, lying little gob****es

In the summer when i was a student i stayed at my mums and had to use the visitors permit, which was displayed as requested. So you can imagine the shock when i came down to find a ticket on my car one morning! It turns out that visitors permits are only valiad for 2 weeks. I had an 8 week break. So not to be put off i went to the council office and asked what they expected me to do. i was told if it was my permiant address i could have a proper permit when i explained i was there for 8 weeks only. i was told i would have to park outside the residence parking area, maybe in an alley and walk back! Well at this point i was enraged i was working shifts some of which finished at 2am. so this really wasn't practial. Still not to be put off i took his name and asked if he would personaly garrenty my safety. Well this worked i got a tempory permit for the summer and didn't have to pay the ticket. :) Its amazzing what you can get when you fail to be put off.
