Selective removal of colour? Or just not bother

Yes
Took a nice shot of a tiger whilst I was away, however a couple of leaves managed to get in at the corners. As far as viewing the image on the computer goes, it is ok, but I am considering getting it printed out reasonably large.
SWMBO didn't like the green border the OOF leaves gave, so, is it worth me trying to remove it?
Or is it going to be more trouble that it is worth?

Can someone give me a pointer as to how to do this in CS2? I assumed that it would be something like a blend layer, with the green channel turned down, and some careful masking? In reality though, this didn't work for me.

Maybe drop the saturation down a bit on the green channel, I wouldn't remove it totally though.

Thanks,
I added a layer, blending mode saturation, green channel only. I then used the paintbrush on a large brush, 35% flow to paint out the green.
But it looked silly.
So I then moved the opaque value of the layer down to around 70% and it looks OK now.
Thanks for the suggestion.
