Selection shock

You can actually get socks to wear with flip flops though. They're traditional in Japan, and known as tabi socks, but they're available in the UK. Up to you...:D

I think they're really for wearing with Geta sandals though, so unless you're wearing full geisha garb you're going to look a bit of a pronk

And I bet they are bloody uncomfortable too!
I hate it when my toes get claustrophobic at the best of times :(

Like I said, not uncomfortable if just in "stockinged feet" but do take a minute or 5 to get used to. Less fun in shoes though.

This feels like an appropriate time to show off my footwear.

Me too. That is just not right, looks a bit like a chimp with driving gloves :)

Honestly, you lot sound like a bunch of 5-year-olds refusing to eat your broccoli because it looks funny. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.

So we have to try looking like a berk to know whether we like it?
I'll pass ta ;)

As I said above, I have tried socks with individual toes and didn't like them. Nowt to do with my feet looking odd, just that none of my shoes fit properly when my tootsies are segregated!

Because the width of the toe area is seriously Iincreased!

Could be worse, I could be from Tiverton (or Norfolk!)

I sometimes need that many toes to count my strokes per hole... [/innuendo] And almost used that joke at Tiverton golf club (Tiverton is a market town which imported a large workforce to a textile mill. The locals didn't really take to the incomers so they (the incomers) had a reduced gene pool for several generations... Norfolkers possibly have another excuse!)
