I did my own passport photo, I used the G7X and the pop up flash. I did it while I was wearing my PJ bottoms and slippers, and I was talking with the missus, and trying to watch TV at the same time. I simply stood in front of the white living room door, and camera at arms length.

I was a little worried the photo would not be good enough, but it seems it was.

I think the photo looked horrible, I am not photogenic at all.
I did take the photo at 24mm at first, but I looked like a bald headed alien. Probably more due to distortion, I settled on 50mm in the end. It was a struggle stretching my arm that far. I was worried by a little bit of shadow under my chin, I thought they would have rejected the photo, but their system said photo was a high percentage OK. So I felt better after that, and even better when they said my passport was on it's way.

My face looks the same as the last passport photo, possibly a little thinner face.
I only thought about my passport, after I saw the thread on how long after passport expires, can you re new it, or something like that.

I immediately thought of my passport, and found it had expired last month. I was racking my brains as to where I could get my photo taken. I thought about all the money I had spent on my cameras, and thought I should put one to good use.
