Well that's it. I'll be signing out in about 30 seconds, and getting my posh frock on ready for the party
I'd just like to extend my sincerest thanks to every single member of TP (all multimillionthousands of you
), for making this site what it is.
TP is pretty much most of my waking life, apart from my family and home.
Seeing so many of you progress and share your photography on here, really does 'warm the cockles' so to speak
So thanks for making this forum the absolutely stonkingly best and friendliest photography forum on the net.
From myself, my wife and my children (and the cat), may all of you and your families have an absolutely fantastic 2009, and I hope every single one of you rides out this recession with your heads above the water.
This evening, wherever you are, take a few moments to think about what's *really* important in this life. It's not the second car, or the xbox, or a shiney new iMac. It's not your job, it's not the effort you put in at work, it's not your boss.
It's you and your loved ones, because when all's said and done, no-one on their deathbed has ever said 'I wish I'd spent more time at work'.
So give your kids a kiss. Tell your husband or wife, or your mum or dad that you love them, and just think, it's better to regret the things you did, than the things you didn't do.
Have yourselves a lovely evening, whatever you're doing, and I'll be here on the other side in 2009 at the helm of this forum with the other staff, taking you all forward to a photographically brilliant 2009
Onwards and upwards!
Cheers
