Second Flash

Hi,

I have a 430EX and now want to try lighting from various angles at the same time. I have a trigger system with spares to allow this. I want to go down the flash route over lights as then I can use the second flash on my back up camera rather than changing it over each time.

With Tesco Vouchers doing the Jessops deal I was looking at getting it from them, which rules out a Nissin. Will the 430EXII surfice or do I need to look at the 580?

I would like to be able to use either both of camera or one on and one off.

Hi. I have a 580EX and a 430EXII and use them with an STE2. If it were me I'd probably go for a 430EXII unless you budget can stretch to a 580EXII. Sort of depends on how you intend to use them - for greater distances you will probably be better with a 580.

I will be using in for portrait and group shots, prob in a soft box and then for cycling and motorbike action pics.
