Hi everyone, my son is showing an interest in photography and has asked if I will give him one of my old cameras that I hardly use now. He will however need to be able to work on the pics on his laptop after shooting. I am currently paying just under £10 per month to Adobe for Photoshop and Lightroom and wondering if any of you might be bale to advise me of the best way of getting these 2 programmes onto his laptop (without obviously paying the same again, as I am already paying) ie, is there a small additional fee that I can pay to add a second subscription along with my current one? Thanks in advance...

The subscription allows you to install on 2 machines, so no additional fees required.
(I have it installed on my desktop and laptop)

Depending on if your son is at school or uni he may be able to get the education version

I very often have Lightroom open on both my Mac Studio and Macbook at the same time. Granted, I'm not actually using them simultaneously.

You can run both at the same time however at some point the software will dial home to Adobe and it will flash up a message on the second device. I have seen the message myself. Supposedly if you don't respond they can lock your account although I haven't personally had that happen to me as I have responded on the couple of occasions it has happened.

I don't think there is an educational vesion of the Photography Package, but there is for the whole Adobe Suite

My daughter has an education version supplied by her uni, not sure if it includes the whole suite or not.

Thanks folks. He is in final year of primary school and due to start secondary school in September. Ref the programmes on a second computer... dobyou just use the same install and login details?
