I went here last November. It's a 3 hours drive away from Donna Nook but an alternative for people not close to Donna Nook. I don't know which location is begtter but we were able to get accomodation very close to Horsey Gap so we went there. Just a 30 minute walk across fields..on a path. Donna Nook looked remote.
The seals at Horsey on the east coast of Norfolk are a spectacular sight. This is one of the best places to watch seals and their pups during the winter months

The beach and dunes were crowded with seals and pups. Hopefully, storm Bert didn't affect them badly. The dunes were closed for two days when we were at Horsey because of a storm and visitors walked along the top of the dunes on a path separated from the seals by a fence but many seals had gone onto the path.
