SD Card causing blank screen *SOLVED*

I currently have a Nikon D5600, I use SanDisk (genuine) memory cards and always have done. Over the course of the last year, my LCD screen will not display my setting screen, the only way I can see said settings is by putting my camera in to live mode or looking through the viewfinder. However when I remove my SD card it come back??

I was hoping that the latest software update would have sorted the issue, unfortunately not.

Additional information:-
I have a battery grip, with it attached or not, same result.
All memory cards are formatted within the camera, same result.
Formatted in Macbook, same result.
Brand new memory cards, same result.
Reset shooting menu, same result.
Reset DSLR, same result.

It does not affect anything regarding image quality, or cameras performance and function, its mainly just an annoyance. I can see a different setting screen if I click the 'info' Button where I can see all my current settings, but as soon as I go to adjust shutter or aperture it goes black, however I think that bit is normal.

I have had a peruse around for some sort of fix on the web for this to no avail, only found one that said he bought a new memory card and it sorted it out, I have already tried this.

Again if I remove the memory card the normal setting screen reappears.....
I haven't tried any other brand than SanDisk

I'm hoping it is something really silly I have managed to overlook.

Would greatly appreciate all your thoughts and help.

I've just read this on a Nikon forum. It might help.
Well............after much much much stress and much roundabout, thanks to Nikonian, I think I finally have my camera working again. I thought it was due to a faulty memory card, so I got a new one because when I took the card out, the screen came on. When I put it in, it went black. Put the new card in, same problem. So I came back here and read the above suggestions. I started thinking about the eyecup eye sensor comment above. I do have a silicone camera wrap, and even though it isnt new and the camera has worked fine with it on up to this point, I wondered it it was causing a problem now. I made a few adjustments to it, and voila.........screen working fine. Thanks SO much for steering me in the right direction. I was MAJOR stressing out over my camera!

You are my saviour right now, I didn't even think about the eye cup or the sensor for that matter, And it does make total sense, I lost the original eye cup, it was such a loose fit it kept pinging off and I knew one day it would just vanish, I replaced it by borrowing the one from my D3200 as it is just my spare camera, and the size difference is a fraction taller. Just checked it now and Voila! it works. Cant thank you enough for finding this information, shame I hadn't come across it before.
