Yes
I have my eye on a screw-in 10-stop, namely the Heliopan (if anybody has any better suggestions though, I'm open), and I was wondering if it would still be possible to use slot-in filters over the top of the screw-in to darken skies or whatever. Does anybody know if the Heliopan has front-facing threads?

Is this even worth it, or should I just jump ship entirely and use all slot-ins?
I must admit to not particularly liking slot-in; I don't know why, I've used Cokin, and I just don't *enjoy* using them as much as screw-ins. Am I just being fussy?

PS - Unfortunately, information on the Heliopan 10-stop is somewhat scarce on the Interwebz, and I'm getting conflicting reports as to its coating too, so if anybody could clear that up for me too, I'd be grateful

Let me go and check. Yes, it does.

However, once it's in place the view through the viewfinder will be so dark that you'll find it very difficult to line up the GND:|

Slot in filters are much more practical in such case. I have B + W x10 and I have to remove it every time I want to recompose.
