Picked up a sony nex 5r
I wouldn't mind just getting a basic film as screen protector and also to use it on other items such as a garmin edge

Is there such film I can get which doesn't cost too much that I can just cut to size?

A tip from me - Poundland do Ipad screen protectors for 2 x £1, I just buy them and cut them up to the required shape, did this for my 60D, 1D X and my 5D as the official ones are £'s!!! I even made some for my speedlights!!
 
I don't understand the obsession with screen protectors :shrug: I don't even have one on my £500 phone :)

Steve! But what of the potential risk of dropping the phone? :p

I know what you mean though, I've never dropped a piece of equipment yet (apart from some very expensive lenses) but yet I'm still crazy about packing everything in bandages etc! I just hate scratches :p
