Scenic places in Essex

The area around Maldon and Heybridge on the river Blackwater always used to be nice
To be honest I would not think you would have to drive too far from anywhere in Essex without finding stunning scenery
You could of course come into Kent, the Garden of England

I think the landscape tends to get better as you get closer to Suffolk, doesn't it?
(I was born and brought up in Southend, so I'm allowed to say this. But I didn't get into photography until I went to university, and I haven't lived in Southend since, so I don't really have a feel for Essex location-wise.)
