Scared of using elements 8!

As the titles says are am somewhat worried about using Elements 8, having brought it a few months back and installed it, whenever I need to do a bit of pp I seem to revert back to my old and ancient version 2.

Version 8 just scares the life out of me and seems like a whole new learning curve, are the advantages really worth one and for all making the switch?
 
Why don't you just play around with it and look at a few tutorials? You can't do any damage by just playing about.

How I've tried, got books on it but just seem stuck in my head, now thinking of actually uninstalling version 2 so I have no choice!

Just do it ! :)

I have had an old version of PS for ages and recently treated myself to CS5 after taking so long to decide whether I was going to get PS4 a new version came out :D

I have decided to really learn to use it and set aside time every day/week to get to grips with it. Last week I concentrated on brushes and found various tutorials for those and experimented, this week it is going to be the pen tool. If you do the same with your PSE8 and treat it as a "new to you" programme and learn to use its features rather than trying to use it to do work for a while it may benefit you in the long run.
