Scanning panoramic negs

I'm in the process of building a pinhole camera that will take 120 film that will be 1 frame x 3 frames, (6cmx18cm)

Does anybody know if it is possible to scan this in one go? Obviously it's not one of the options in the Nikon scanning software and Nikon have confirmed that it won't do it.

So is it an option using Vuescan or Silverfast?

Maybe but depends on what scanner you have.

I would have thought if you have an A3 scanner then yes. However I use Silverfast but mine will only scan to 6x17 as that is the maximum size the film holder will take.

works in Silverfast SE on my Canoscan 8800F - I can pretty much draw a border around anything in the scanned area (6x22cm) and pull it in.

Edit: Same with Vuescan - just tried it with the demo version.

That's interesting, I have a Coolscan 9000 but I'm not that keen on Vuescan so if I can get a copy of Silverfast I'll give it a go.
