Hi,
I have just added a Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro (to 1:1) lens to my scanning kit.
On my Pentax 16Mp camera it can produce negative images of around 2600x3900. It seems sharp enough when scanning for a JPG output from the camera.
The image attached is at full pixel scale. Note the odd band of vertical streaky marks on the scan. These are seen throughout the roll where there is a plain sky in the image.
It's not a problem, I will never use an image at that scale, but I am curious as to what it is. Anyone seen this before? Is it just a JPG compression thing?
