As of lately I am getting at least 1 - 2 nuisance / scam calls a day. All are Landlines and most 0207... None are real numbers, i.e. they originate from some temporary VOIP setup. It used to be the accident scams but now they have gone really aggressive in both tone, volume and intent. Frankly they should be locked up and key thrown out.

It is becoming a bit of a nuisance. I really hate my phone ringing. I really do. If it must, it shall be only customers lining up to pay me, not any other type :)

Blocking all landlines is a bit extreme option, if it is even possible on android. Admittedly, all legit enquiries are coming from mobile callers, but I guess there is always a possibility of that really big one.

What I'd really like is some way to selectively mute any landline ringtones and if I choose I could call them back, provided they are known organisation or a local number. Or even better; block any non-registered / new / VOIP landlines.

P.S. Never respond to anyone calling about your national insurance, taxes, bank accounts or any of that sort and never give out personal info over the phone. Call organisation back on legit number if in doubt.

When I read your post I too thought it was for your landline, but I see it does mention android in there somewhere.... :)

I am not an Android user now, but came across this while searching...... if it works you could block all 0207 calls? I have blocked 0207 calls & other area codes on my landline with my BT Phone.
