I have had a Nikon D3100 and SB-600 working together fine for the last few months but now all of a sudden, the flash just is never bright enough when the flashgun is on TTL. It's not the bulb dying as you can put it on manual and will still shoot really bright if you want. Doesn't matter what settings the camera is on whether auto or not still no luck. I have reset both the camera and flash to their default settings and cleaned the connectors. Does anyone have any ideas? Supposed to be photographing Tinchy Stryder tonight!

Thank you in advance!

I can't say I am all familiar with Nikon having just got one myself, but you haven't dialled in some Flash Exposure Compensation have you?

That's all I can think off...

You have not changed the settings of the on camera flash as the commander have you? In commander mode it's giving enough light to remotely fire other strobes.

I have reset the flashgun so it's on default settings. Also, exposure compensation makes no difference no matter what it is on either. :|

Any chance of a photo of the lcd screen on the flash? Might help .....
