sometimes when the batteries are running out the flash will not fire and the led display will flicker on and off like crazy.:bang:

warning over.

this happened to me yesterday and i thought the flash was kaput.
turns out it just needed new batteries. :shrug:

been through a couple of set of batteries over time, but first time it did this.

ok, which smart arses already knew?!?:amstupid:
was it personal experience/panic, or manual reading.
 
Most appliances act erratically when the batteries are running out :shrug:
 
Hmmm, haven't had anything like that. But then again, maybe I just haven't had the chance to run batteries all the way down.
 
Running out asin end of life? Because my 600 turns off randomly and back on but is ok if a squeeze the battery cover. Thought it was just the cover been knocked and isn't sitting flat across the battery contacts. Could be due to the battery life though...
 
First time that happened to me I nearly wet myself. I was testing it prior to a wedding... ahhhhhhh
 
surely you notice the recycling time extend first...
 
Someone tried to take my camera bag while I was taking a photo last year and the flash and everything else fell out onto a concrete street area... After that I though my Jessops flash was knackered... It behaved really oddly...

Turns out that was batteries....
