I spotted a tip recently that stated that you can fit eighteen £2 coins in a standard 135 film container. This is now my "bonus film" savings method. I currently have £18 stored in one and will treat myself to a pack of posh film when it's full.

120 film boxes fit £1 coins too, although I can't remember how many you can get inside those.

That's a cool idea... although, with well over 300 rolls of film to get through, I certainly wouldn't put the money towards more film, but at least I'd be rich...finally :LOL:

It's nice to know another use for empty 35mm film containers, other than using them to send bat droppings to the lab for eDNA analysis to determine the species involved. Don't ask!

How many bat droppings does a roll of Portra 400 go for? :)
In the UK it's against the law to sell, exchange or offer for sale/exchange a bat (alive or dead) or any part of a bat. I'll leave it up to you to determine whether or not exchanging their droppings for a roll of Portra 400 would be caught by this legislation.

But would bat droppings be considered part of a bat? Surely they're part of something else - moths etc. that the bat has now finished with?

[...And so, as the onlookers watched on unable to stop the spectacle, another F&C thread careered off the rails...]

Now that's a nice idea! Going to try this :)

Well when my son's house was broken into they stole a very large jar of £1 coins, but I'm sure they wouldn't if they were in film canisters.....mind you he would have to have a stack of them.
