this is a follow on to a previous post as i have just starting to use raw. I normally save my days shots in a named folder on my pc, i then open them in photoshop and change stuff and save the modified smaller shots in a seperate folder for uploading to the web. I processed my lightroom shots and the hit the 'select all' tab, this enabled me to send them to photoshop. I then had to save each one to the required folder? i wasn't allowed to select jpeg so i stuck with the tiff option. I was then asked about image compression - zip was highlited but i changed to 'none' Is Tiff instead of jpeg normal? is there an easier way to save from lightroom/
sorry for such a long post
Thanks

I think the image is in 16 bit tiff mode... You need to convert it to 8 bit in order to be able to save it as a jpeg!

Go to Image > Mode > 8 bits/channel for each image (or set up an action to convert to 8 bit & save as jpeg, makes life easy!)

Easier still is to export directly from Lightroom as jpegs. Just select everything, and go to File > Export. It gives you options for where to save the images, what name to give them, etc, etc... Very useful.
Also, you can resize during export if you just need some quick jpeg previews. For example, you can tell Lightroom to resize them to x pixels on the long edge, and save as jpeg (or other formats.) Then just leave it for a while (depends how many images!), come back later and you'll have all the selected images as jpegs in your specified folder!

Hope that helps, it got rather long-winded

excellent, thankyou very much i will try that later.

Thank you Cyprino, that has worked
