Saving Csv

im having issues when saving a csv file

when i come to reopen it it is in chineese or some other format but only 1 line instead of lets say 20 lines as i saved it as

i know if you have csv you can repoen as csv and then make it so iyou can read it but i can do that either only chinese writing

using open office at min

trying to rack my brain.. i think csv is plain text so if you have any odd formatting it will throw it out. also what type of csv are you saving as?

CSV is Comma Separated Values - ie plain text separated by, you guessed it, commas - I'm a bit perplexed as to how we get to Chinese from there!

Anywho, just open the file in notepad and see what's going on with it.

was saving in wrong format lead to chinese writhg wa saving as wester european it changed for some bizzare reason now saving as utf-8 now and works great
