I really cannot understand how these guys that do war photography can cope being in the middle of all of that.

It's a very good article. Quite harrowing. As was stressed several times by the interviewees, people need to see what human beings are capable of doing to each other. The only problem with that is that some of the material is so harrowing that it would never get past the censor.
