The shoe is entirely edible being 100% chocolate! And it's a full scale size 6!

lol. Just a bit! I don't even eat cake very often!

I'm sure she could do a camera cake. Just needs someone to ask..... she likes a challenge.... that's why she married me!

What kind of prices does she charge?? I know it must depend a great deal on the complexity - but a rough idea.

It's not really a business. She just does them for friends more than anything. I'll ask her if she's interested in trying one and let you know.

I would guess that delivery costs would make it more cost efficient to source a cake closer to home. I sure as hell wouldn't entrust one to any of the carriers - it's bad enough getting one a few miles through town!

Of course, some elements (maybe a pair of shoes or some flowers) are relatively easy to transport and may be robust enough for carriers to fail to wreck but I wouldn't bet on it!

Have a look at some of the TV shows about cake creators (Ace of Cakes for example) to see the problems they have transporting their own creations. (They carry a full restoration kit so they can glue them back together, along with extra elements that might fall off.)
