I shoot RAW on a Canon EOS 40D, and it holds 313 RAW files at ISO100, dropping to around 297 at ISO1600 I think. I don't shoot jpeg anymore but I think you'd be looking at 900ish high quality jpegs on it
Is that the number you got on it before it was full, or the number it said after formatting? The number the camera says after a format is just a guess.
I think you'll find that those figures are a guide only. As you take the photos you may be able to get more (or fewer) photos on the card. This depends on the amount of data that each photo is made from. A nice colourful and 'busy' photo will be more mb's than a photo of something more mundane.
Your camera may say 375 RAW to start with, but the true amount will be different.
