This is an amazing deal £237 + £50 cashback from Samsung = £187. The White one is £299 still!

I just got pcworld to price match tesco (eventually) minus 10% difference so it came in at £236. I also bought a case with it to claim the £80 cash back from pcworld and I can also claim the Samsung cash back. Bargain!

I salute to your shopping skills... which case did you buy? (if you don't mind me asking)
 
It was a complete faff getting them to price match it and they were trying everything to get out of it but I eventually succeeded. The case was a cheapo zipped sleave which cost £12. I'll buy a better one off the net but it's enough to claim the cash back.
 
Yeah I just called my local Tesco they are selling them for £238 in store. I called PCWorld they said they will price match any local retail store. Well the Tesco I called is next door to PCWorld. I'm going to give it go tomorrow, by the time I'd finished calling everyone PCWorld had shut! I reckon I can get that for the princely sum of £97 including the case... I'm going to print everything out and go fully armed...

If I pull it off, you sir are the architect of my greatest bargain hunt yet!...
 
I've just checked the pcworld website and the £80 cashback includes the £50 from Samsung! When I asked in store they told me that it was separate. Cheaky buggers! Still a good bargain though.
 
Yep I'm still going to give it a go at £168... I paid £188 on Amazon, gonna have to send that one back! Thanks again...

I've just had a look at the cashback T&Cs, don't send off your claim within 2 weeks of buying the tab or it will be marked as invalid. Presumably to stop people exploiting DSR's.

Claim period is 15-60 days after purchase.
 
The pcworld t&c state it has to be after 30 days from purchase.
 
Apparently the last cash back offer from samsung you had to make your claim between the 30-45 day from purchase. No earlier, no later.

I hate these complicated cash back deals with strange terms and conditions
Bought a 400d kit many years ago from dixons with a cash back deal, tried to register it on canons site for a week and gave up
 
Yeah, I have to say the nikon one last year was simple and painless as far as I remember. Just sent them the serial # and a photocopy of the receipt online and I had a prepay card with the cash back money on a week later.
 
PCWorlds Price match works online too... you can get exactly the same deals as in store. They will match Tesco Direct which are selling these at £238 too. So you could get the same deal online... I'm off to the store at 11 to check everything out!

Can you tell me about the samsung cashback please?

I can see it at £238 at tesco's, £258 at PC world, and the PC world £80 cash back... but no reference to samsung cashback

Edit: Ignore that, googled samsung cashback and £50 back..... so that makes it 238-130 = £108 for a 10" tablet.... hmmm, I'll be having one of those!

Woah check that cashback... it's £80 in total. 50 from samsung + 30 from PCWorld! I fell for that yesterday. It works out at about £167 with the case and the cashback...

Edit: Read my post below to see what happened! It's not as simple as it sounds!

As mentioned in post 7 above, if you look at the T&Cs the £80 includes the Samsung £50 cashback. From HERE
"Buy a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10” Ttablet or Samsung Note 10” Ttablet and case for Currys and or PC World and claim £30 cashback from Currys/PC World and £50 cashback from Samsung."

Just back from PCWorld... they wouldn't do the price match with Tesco if I bought a case to get the £30 cashback because with the £30 PCWorld cashback the tablet is then cheaper than Tesco (258-30 =228, Tesco = 238).

So I settled for just the pricematch and paid £236... a lot of effort to save £2...

I obviously discussed at length the fact that the case bundle wasn't a fair price match with just a Tablet but the guy said the cashback claim would get rejected anyway for the same reason...

I knew there was a reason why I never ever shop at PCWorld...

If any of you manage to get the cashback and price match online with a confirmed price please post it so I can try it. I will quite happily take this one back too if need be...
 
Yep just been into pc world and told them to stuff it. I hate cashback offers.

If it helps I can post a pic of my receipt once my claim has been processed. I did have a massive battle and once I won they then told me they had no stock! I then proceeded to show the assist that there was plenty of stock in a locked cage by the tablets! Lots of embarrassing looks and apologies resulted. Very very reluctant to do it again.
