my galaxy s4 has stopped being charged while still powered up it will only now charge when powered off ????
it also vibrates about for 2 seconds every 20 seconds that its on charge any ideas ??
i fitted a new battery and it still has the above fault
any help appreciated
 
Has the charging port become faulty?

How old is it, if under 2 years might be worth checking if Samsung can sort it out.
 
just over 2 yr old charging port still feels same when plugging it in
 
Have you tried another charger? If you have then I still think the issue is with the port.
 
If you suspect it is a port problem you could find a place that has a wireless charger and try that, some phone shops have them.
I use one all the time, far easier and less wear on the phone
 
Probably faulty charger /connection if it is the same with a new battery. With phone on it can't deliver enough juice. I'm assuming it is one of those that vibrate when you first plug in charger so I'd think charger is losing power output so phone thinks it's been unplugged then replugged in.
 
S4 has a common problem with the charge board, the little card with the socket on it. I've changed a few now for various weird charging faults.
Cheap as chips on ebay.
