Samsung buys Boxee

Not exactly inspiring, recording to a cloud then playback anywhere? Meh.

The lack of content available to people in the UK doesn't help either.... No Hulu , etc (ok, it is possible to get using proxies, vpn's etc, but only if you have the knowhow which the majority don't ).

I'll stick with my xbmc for the foreseeable future
 
Like I said, it won't really affect anyone in the UK, as the service was only a limited beta anyway, and the boxee tv box was never on sale over here.

There must be something in the tech that Samsung have their eye on though and it will be interesting to see what they do with it
 
My guess is Boxee had some patents that Samsung wanted...
