There are a couple of Multistoreys - I usually park in the Lowry Outlet one

Just be aware that security can be quite hot about tripods, usually its not an issue, but if you set them up on the bridges you are likely to get a visit

(And watch out for cyclists - slient assassination!

Yes I assumed that - walking from the Lowry Outlet to near the bridges (assuming that what you want to photograph) < 5 mins - less if you park on the ground floor level

The other useful car park at the IWM North is closed at night

usually park just past IWM on a side road, if you can find a space, don't leave anything on show though
