https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cervgrvekxzo - Len Deighton passed away, ah well we all do it - but he at leasyt left his mark, i read and re-read his books and watched the films very much more 'real life' than Bond - Harry Palmer - never named in the book but Michael Caine was brilliant in the role.
