Very sad, as all young elephants are such personalities and tragic they have died.

On a purely scientific aspect it is interesting that all Asian elephants carry the virus but few fall ill let alone die from it!

Yes a shame and devastating for the keepers at the zoo
It's a real mystery the virus as brownie said all Asian elephants carry the virus but just a few develop the symptoms

So sad, they have lost 7 out there last 9 calves.
It's just devastating, there is little known and not much they can do about the
disease.

Very sad news indeed.

It is even sadder when you consider that Elephants actively mourn those in their herd who have died.

Going up in 4 weeks, so be interesting to see how they are dealing with the loss.
