Ryan Air carry on hard shell rucky or similar

so i am travelling a lot with ryan air now and have started just taking the free carry on size as a small rucksack
i want something a bit more solid and protecting as i want to start taking my nice headphones and stuff any one tried something ?

If you are only taking one bag what are you doing with it that you need a hard shell? It is always going to be in your possession and a rucksack is much easier to deal with.
