As above, I have recently bought a new laptop. It is running Windows 7. I have an old Sub Dye printer that produces decent prints and I would like to keep it. But the last driver you can get for it is XP.
I have tried using microsoft virtual pc with XP mode. It loads the driver ok, but doesn't seem to support USB.
So just says, 'printer not connected'

Any ideas/help would be appreciated. .

Have you tried installing the xp drivers?

Sometimes it Win7 will try and resolve the issue itself. If the driver install is an exe, try right click on the icon and select run in xp mode.

I have yes. But no joy.

but have you tried to see if there are any 64bit xp drivers? Is there a 64bit Vista driver available? That may work too.

Are you using Win7 64bit?
