Dont like stirring stuff but thought I would mention that the EOS 5D has gone on a mega sale here. With some retailers offering up $850 off! :eek: Sounds like stock clearance?

Yeah it's possible we might see a 5D MKII by the end of the year (my guess is at Photokina in September).

Would make sense to start flogging the 5D now then. Gives them 3 and a bit months to clear shelves.

Canon Cashback offer doesn't have that long to go now, so expect to see RRP coming down after June !

I would be quite interested to see how far the price tumbles as i could be tempted to get one for my model and landscape shoots.
 
I'm definatly looking to get a 5D MKII when it's out. Can't afford it just yet but hopefully will be able to scrape enough cash together to get my hands on one :D

The original 5D is so good that with this much off, it's a must-buy IMO.

The 5D seems to have developed something of a cult following. The cheaper Canon/Nikon bodies may offer better value for money, but once you've got used to the 5D's full frame sensor and gorgeous PQ, there's no going back :love:

Yeah the original 5D is a brilliant camera, but the new one will be even better. It's gonna be awesome, can't wait! :D

This is almost enough to make me glad I haven't gone for a 40D yet.
 
I notice Jacobs have further money off - the second 'weekend special' they have run in the last 4 weeks. Ends today...

That price is pretty good. That is only £200 less then what I paid for my new 5D + Grip + 24-105 IS 15 months ago.
