Hey,

My uncle has offered to take me to the Hexham races tomorrow, i thought it might be a good oppertunity for some shots. But are there any rules on taking photographs of horses and their jockeys, also might be worth while to take some cadid shots...

Thanks alot

Dave

Yeah I agree with fabs, shouldn't be a problem.

If in doubt you should just contact them.

I took my Camera to Brighton races last week and nobody said anything. I think they're usually fairly relaxed about photography but just don't use flash.

Can't see why they should object..... after all, sometimes the end is down to a photo finish!

:coat:

Rule 1 don't stand between the white coloured railings.
2. Don't stand behind the fences between the white railings

if you manage to get 'infield' during a race you need to make sure that you're no where near the inside rail during a race. horses spook easily and you'll have a LOT of angry people on your case if you cause a problem during a race!

my best tip is just to blag it and be confident. usually if you just walk into the same areas as the pro's no one asks you any questions. helps if you have good camera gear too....

erm 400d and cheapo 90-300 er ...
