Rugby League around Leeds area

Hello!

Just moved to Leeds having returned from living in Brisbane for a while and I'm looking to shoot some rugby league around the Leeds area, or Hull actually as that where my family is. Does anyone have any advice of where to have a look for some decent standard rugby league to photograph?

I've done a bit of googling but thought I'd see if any of you lot had a better idea.

I take it you mean amateur? You have West Leeds and Stanningley rugby clubs round there. Or of course, the mighty Leeds Rhinos

My cousin watches a team in Hull but I can't remember their name. I'll ask him

Yea amateur I suppose. Little chance of getting into any SL games unless through an agency I guess. I live about 4 doors from Headingley, just bought tickets to watch Leeds Rhinos vs North Queensland Cowboys, cannot wait!!! I used to photograph Jake Granville of the Cowboys before he was signed for them 2 years ago in Brisbane. Anyway! Thanks for the tips, I'll look them up.

Theres a cracking all Hull Derby game this weekend between West Hull and Hull Dockers, ground is at HU4 6LQ

Its Challenge Cup weekend so all cup games take preference so the game in Hull is Hull Dockers v Featherstone Lions with a 2pm KO

Very rarely in the evening mate, these players are amateurs and as such work during the week, theres the odd chance of a cup match and later on in the season some semi and finals are played evenings, then theres the potential fixture backlog late on in the season

Nothing this time of year as most grounds dont have any lights
