RSPB campaign against removal of environmental safeguards.

I received a message from the RSPB outlining the Governments removal of "red tape" protection of the environment.

If you feel so inclined you can email Vince Cable to express your concern.

thanks for this Lawrence, I have signed - seems to me that this Government are looking to change things just for the sake of it, probably just trying to justify their (well paid !!!) jobs.

Well I'm going to defend the government at the moment, they have not said they are scrapping the regulations, but they are on the list of things to look at in the Red Tape Challenge.

Do we really need 278 pieces of environmental legislation and regulations, maybe not, we have a government now that don't think some of the laws Labour brought in are necessary, for example

It's illegal to commit murder by use of a knife
It's illegal to commit murder by use of a gun
It's illegal to commit murder by use of a bomb
It's illegal to commit murder by use of strangulation

When a simple its illegal to commit murder will do the job.
