Hi TP'ers,

I wouldn't normally ask this sort of question as I know well that most photographers wouldn't willingly give away images for free - but given the educational nature of the request I thought I'd give it a try.

My local school has decided to use bird names for each of the classes and I suspect that most of the children don't know the difference between some of them (others are easy). I've been looking for some reasonable photos to use on various school media, limited soley to school use.

The images I'm looking for are of a jay, swift, swallow, robin and an owl. Appreciate these are a little vague but if you've got something you'd be willing to share then it would be much appreciated. PM me or post here.

Thanks again, and hopefully I won't offend anyone for asking for free images!

Thanks,
Jeremy.

You can also have a Robin and Bullfinch on me Jeremy as it`s for a good cause.

I dont post much but the generosity of you people deserves a reply.i tried to do this for a local school over 25 years ago and had very little support from local photographers,i was only asking for reject slides.
Well done

mike

Please find attached a Swift [not a brilliant shot but noticed you haven't got one yet] and a Bullfinch in profile.

Sounds like a good idea, giving each classes an identity and possibly giving the children an interest in birds and wildlife in general.

Don't know if this is important to the school (or if they have already thought of this) but in the UK, there is only one type of jay, swift, swallow and robin (other species of these birds do occasionally turn up here but they are rare) however, 'owl' can refer to a number of birds that are resident in the UK.
