Of course it's not just for Rotherham.

On your captions do you prefer 'player's name' followed by the team or team name followed by the player.

Is it better to have the player's name first as that will catch the eye and brain process quicker?

Any thoughts/preference?

I think Rotherham's xxxx is better. To me xxxx of Rotherham sounds like something out of Robin Hood :D

I used to do it team anme's player name but last season changed it to the same way certain big agencies do it ie player name of team name

One of the reasons that the big agencies stick with 'of' is that, like the copyright symbol, not all programmes deal with ASCII that well so that an apostropy can sometimes end up as hex code in the middle of a caption.

To elaborate a touch further, 'of' can also be used as a deliminator to populate other searchable fields. It's how the backend software that we've been using for Glasgow 2014 works as well.

Ah I see thanks Mark.

I did the same as Tony last season and went with Rotherham's Joe Bloggs but now use Joe Bloggs of Rotherham

"xxx of Rotherham" for me, apart from the managers who are "Rotherham manager xxx" to avoid putting an awkward comma in i.e. "xxx, manager of Rotherham"

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink of PSV Eindhoven, or
PSV Eindhoven's Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink :runaway:
